India celebrates 50 years of victory against Pakistan in 1971 war.

India is observing Vijay Diwas on December 16 to recognize the 50th commemoration of its success over Pakistan in the 1971 conflict. Around 93,000 outfitted Pakistani fighters gave up on this day and at 4.21pm, on the thirteenth day of the conflict with Pakistan, the truce was agreed upon.

Top state leader Narendra Modi, in a tweet on the 50th Vijay Diwas, honored the incredible bravery and penance by the warriors.

"On the 50th Vijay Diwas, I review the incredible bravery and penance by the Muktijoddhas, Biranganas and bravehearts of the Indian Armed Forces. Together, we battled and crushed harsh powers. Rashtrapati Ji's essence in Dhaka is of exceptional importance to each Indian," he tweeted.
