Adani to invest ₹1.3 trillion in FY25 to expand its capacity

The Adani group aims to spend Rs 1.3 trillion in 2024-25 to increase capacity in its various companies and will secure $3 billion (₹25,000 crores) in equity this year to finance the projects.

Adani Group CFO Robbie Singh announced on Tuesday that Adani Green Energy plans to invest Rs 34,000 crore to enhance its operations in Khavda, Gujarat.

Singh also announced that the group will invest $100 billion in energy transition and infrastructure over the next 10 years and will launch an IPO for its airport business by FY28. The airport company is presently located within Adani Enterprises.

The company also has plans to refinance debt worth $3-4 billion in FY25. An additional $1 billion will be raised through alternate debt instruments.

Adani Enterprises and Adani Energy Solutions have obtained approval from shareholders to offer shares to investors.

Several assets of the company including the Navi Mumbai airport project will be commissioned this year. The group's portfolio investment would majorly be funded from operations with limited third-party capital requirements.

68 percent of the funding for the next ten years has been secured through internal cash flow, ensuring the complete funding plan is in place. The group companies earned Rs 82,000 crore of cash flows in FY24.

Most of the investments will be made in the airport project and green energy sectors, the company stated.
