The Nifty finished trading at 24320.55, showing a gain of 0.46%. During the day, the Nifty hit a peak of 24443.6 and a bottom of 24331.9. The Sensex fluctuated between 80397.17 and 79998.56 before ending the day 0.49% up at 79960.38, marking a 391.26-point increase from the opening price.

The Nifty Midcap 50 ended 0.24% up, showing a weaker performance compared to the Nifty 50. The Nifty small cap 100 closed at 18908.4, with an increase of 48.35 points and a 0.26% rise.
