Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights 2024

The major stock market indices started Wednesday's trading session on a positive note. In the opening trade, the NSE Nifty 50 saw an increase of 79.60 points, equivalent to 0.34% at 23,344.45, and the BSE Sensex rose by 222.51 points or 0.29% to reach 76,679.11. The larger indices started trading with gains. Bank Nifty index starts the day with a rise of 151.70 points or 0.31% and closes at 49,857.45.

The stock market indexes ended the trading day positively on June 12. The BSE Sensex closed the day's trading at 76,557.44, marking a 0.13% increase of 100.85 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 finished 0.19% higher at 23,308.40 with a gain of 43.55 points. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended the day at 54,215.40, down 549 points or 1.02%. Bank Nifty ended the session with a gain of 95.85 points, or 0.19%, finishing at 49,801.60 in positive territory.

Coal India, Power Grid, SBI Life Insurance, Tech Mahindra, and Eicher Motors are Nifty's biggest winners, with Britannia, HUL, M&M, Titan Company, and Tata Consumer being the top losers.

In terms of different sectors, only FMCG and Realty indices ended in the red, while telecom, media, capital goods, metal, oil & gas, and power sectors all saw a 1 % increase.
