Alia Bhatt’s dance performance in Kalank song Ghar More Pardesiya gets a shout-out from Academy

On Wednesday, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences paid tribute to Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt by sharing a video of her dance in the Ghar More Pardesiya music video from 2019's Kalank.

The music video for the semi-classical number performed by Shreya Ghoshal and Vaishali Mhade highlights Alia's Kathak dance moves, which were choreographed by Remo D'souza. Directed by Abhishek Varman, the period drama, produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, also stars Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, and Madhuri Dixit.

Ghar More Pardesiya is the second song by Shreya Ghoshal to be featured on The Academy’s Instagram page. Last month, her song Deewani Mastani from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2016 film Bajirao Mastani, starring Deepika Padukone, also received a mention
