Shatrughan Sinha RESPONDS for the First Time to Sonakshi Sinha's Marriage

Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal in a private ceremony at her Bandra residence in Mumbai on Sunday. Following the civil marriage ceremony, the newly married couple threw a lavish reception at Bastian in Dadar. The actress is experiencing a lot of online harassment due to her marriage to Zaheer, who belongs to a different faith. The newly married couple has disabled comments on their Instagram wedding photos to avoid negative feedback during their important day.

In the midst of all this, Sonakshi's father and former actor who is now a politician, Shatrughan Sinha, has responded to her civil wedding. Shatrughan expressed, "Is it even a question to ask how I am feeling on my daughter's wedding day?" Every father anticipates the moment when his daughter is handed over to her chosen husband. My daughter appears happiest when she is with Zaheer "Unki jodi salamat rahe", he stated.

He further added “44 years ago, Shatrughan Sinha married a very successful, very beautiful, very talented girl of his choice, Poonam Sinha. Now it is Sonakshi’s turn to marry the boy of her choice.”

Sonakshi and Zaheer were in a relationship for seven years before deciding to move it forward. Although they had a small wedding, the couple threw a lavish reception for their friends in showbiz.
