International Yoga Day- Special

21 st June, 2024 marks the 10th International Yoga Day, with the theme being- "Yoga for Self and Society". Millions of people all around the world perform Yoga on this day and focus on their mental well-being and inner serenity. Some of the highlights include;

PM Modi visits Srinagar in order to celebrate the Yoga Day. The event took place in Srinagar's Dal Lake, at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Complex. The Yoga session which was to begin at 7 in the morning, was slightly delayed due to rains. Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and Ayush Minister Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav also attended the event.

Bollywood star- Jackie Shroff was also spotted on the occasion where he expressed his annoyance over the hyper paparazzi. He said "Saans le lamba, itna chilla rahe ho, heart ke lafde ho jayenge, araam se re" (Take a deep breath, why are you shouting so much, you will get heart issues). He emphasised on the calmness that Yoga brings.

Kiara Advani also joined the celebration by posting her 'Chakrasana' (wheel pose) on her Instagram page, with a caption- 'Happy Yoga Day'.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and several Bollywood actresses all swear by the slogan "Yoga se hi Hoga" and share some of their favourite poses.
