NBCC's stock price increases by 5%, with a significant surge of over 233% in the past year

Shares of NBCC (India) surged more than 4% on May 29 after the company reported robust quarterly earnings for the period ending in March 2024.

The publicly owned construction firm announced a 24.6 percent rise in annual net earnings to ₹141.5 crore and a 43 percent surge in operational revenue to ₹4,025 crore for the same quarter.

On Wednesday at 9:30 am, NBCC shares started trading at ₹144.80 per share, marking a 4.17 % increase. This year, there has been a significant increase of around 72 % in the stock, outperforming by a large margin the Nifty 50 benchmark, which has only increased by about 5 % during the same time frame. Over the past year, NBCC stock has generated returns exceeding 233.33 %

NBCC's board of directors recommended a final dividend of ₹0.63 (0.63%) per paid-up equity share of Re 1 for the fiscal year 2024, subject to approval by shareholders at the upcoming annual general meeting. If accepted, the dividend will be given out within 30 days after the AGM.
