Oyo opens first luxury hotel in Dubai, looks to boost portfolio

Oyo revealed on Monday the launch of its first luxury hotel in Dubai, Palette Royal Reflections Hotel and Spa, as the IPO-bound unicorn plans to enhance its premium property portfolio globally.
The company anticipates a substantial increase in the number of Indian tourists in 2024 following Dubai's recent visa policy changes.
Oyo anticipates that over 100,000 Indian travellers will visit Dubai in the current year. For Indian tourists, Dubai is a popular choice due to its luxurious shopping, impressive architecture and vibrant culture.
Oyo stated that the launch coincides with the emirate getting ready to host a record number of Indian tourists in 2024.
The move is a part of Oyo's continuous efforts to enhance its luxury property presence worldwide, including in the Middle East. Oyo has over 700 properties in the UAE, with Dubai only having more than 200.
Dubai tourism receives the highest number of tourists from India. In 2023, Dubai attracted the highest number of passengers with a total of 11.9 million visitors.
Nitin Gupta- Business Head of Oyo Middle East, mentioned that there has been a notable increase in Indian tourists seeking luxury accommodation in the area and with this initiative, Oyo wishes to meet the requirements of its customers.
