Sensex and Nifty Highlights | Tuesday - 11th June 2024

Tuesday's trading session started with the benchmark equity indices in positive territory. The NSE Nifty 50 starts trading with a 24.55-point increase, reaching 23,283.75, as the BSE Sensex rises by 190.82 points to 76,680.90 in the opening trade. The wider stock market benchmarks started trading with a varied performance. The Bank Nifty index begins trading slightly down by 29.70 points or 0.06% at a closing value of 49,751.20.

The stock market indexes finished the trading day with a decline on June 11. The BSE Sensex ended the day's trading at 76,427.69 after dropping 62 points or 0.08%, while the NSE Nifty 50 finished at 23,264.15 with an increase of 4.95 points or 0.02%. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended the day at 53,675.60, down by 0.83% or 440 points. Bank Nifty finished the trading session lower by 111 points or 0.02% at 49,670, ending in negative territory.

ONGC, L&T, Adani Ports, Maruti Suzuki, and Tata Motors experienced the highest gains on the Nifty index, while Kotak Mahindra

Bank, Dr Reddy's Labs, Asian Paints, Reliance Industries, and Divis Labs were among the biggest losers.

Selling was observed in the bank, FMCG, healthcare, and metal sectors, while capital goods, oil & gas, and realty each saw a 1 % increase.

The BSE midcap index increased by 0.7 % and the smallcap index grew by almost 1 %.
