Sensex loses 203 points, Nifty ends at 23,259
The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, India's stock market indexes, ended Monday's trading session in negative territory. Although the Sensex ended at 76,490.08, decreasing by 203.28 points, or 0.27%, the Nifty50 also dropped to 23,259.20, down by 30.95 points, or 0.13%.
On Monday, both of India's stock market indexes, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, ended the day with losses. According to preliminary data from the exchanges, the Sensex finished at 76,490.08, dropping 203.28 points (0.27%), while the broader Nifty50 fell 30.95 points (0.13%) to 23,259.20.
Top performers on the NSE at 3.10 pm are Ultratech cement (3.64%), Grasim Industries (2.79%), Hero Motocorp (2.60%), Cipla (2.52%), Power Grid Corporation of India (2.25%)
Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, Mahindra and Mahindra, and Ltimindtree are among the top losers. Tech Mahindra dropped by 2.60%, Infosys by 2.14%, Wipro by 1.79%, Mahindra and Mahindra by 1.70%, and Ltimindtree by 1.47%.
