Stock Market Highlights | 1st July

The major stock market indexes started Monday’s trading session on a positive tone. The NSE Nifty 50 started 5 points or 0.02% above at 24,015.60, and the BSE Sensex started 33.44 points or 0.04% above at 79,066.17. The wider benchmarks started trading with gains. Bank Nifty index began trading 23 points or 0.04% below its opening value at 52,319.60.

Monday's trading session concluded with the benchmark equity indices in positive territory. The NSE Nifty 50 saw an increase of 131.35 points or 0.55% to close at 24,141.95, whereas the BSE Sensex surged by 443.46 points or 0.56% to reach 79,476.19. The Bank Nifty index closed at 52,574.75, up by 232.50 points or 0.44%.

The overall stock market indexes finished with a mix of results, driven by increases in Mind-cap and Large-cap stocks. Media and IT sectors performed better compared to other sectors, while PSU Banks and Realty sectors declined.
