Weather report: Intense downpours disrupt daily activities throughout India; IMD forecasts additional rainfall in Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, and other regions.

In its most recent weather forecast, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) cautioned of extremely heavy rain across various parts of Northwest India, such as Western Himalayan areas, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh for the next few days. It is anticipated that Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand will also experience significant rainfall. The weather department has also stated that the Southwest Monsoon is expected to widen its reach over the rest of the country.

The Met Department has also spotted a cyclonic circulation over southeast Pakistan near Kutch at lower tropospheric levels, as well as another one over Gujarat and surrounding regions. Due to the aforementioned factors, there is a high chance of isolated heavy rain in Gujarat, Kutch, Saurashtra, Konkan, Goa, South Interior Karnataka, Puducherry, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh on 1st July. From July 1 to July 3, there will be a significant amount of rainfall in Telangana, Coastal Karnataka, Yanam, Lakshadweep, Rayalaseema, Madhya Maharashtra, and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The Weather Department has identified another cyclonic circulation in northeast Assam and east Jharkhand. Due to these weather conditions, Delhi is expected to experience isolated heavy rainfall from July 1 to July 3, while East Rajasthan will experience it from July 2 to July 4, and Chhattisgarh and West Madhya Pradesh from July 1 to July 4. Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are expected to have similar weather from July 1 to July 2, while Uttarakhand's conditions will be the same from July 1 to July 4. Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal will experience similar weather from July 1 to July 3. During this time, there is a high chance of persistent heavy rainfall in Mizoram, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Nagaland from July 1 to July 4. There is a forecast for Bihar to receive substantial rainfall between July 1 and July 2.
