Stock Market Highlights | 27th June
Sensex closes higher than 79k, Nifty 50 exceeds 24,000 for the first time driven by UltraTech, RIL, and IT stocks.
On June 27, the stock market indexes ended the trading day at an all-time high. The BSE Sensex surged by 573 points, representing a 0.73% increase, to end the trading day at 79,247, while the NSE Nifty 50 finished 168 points higher, up 0.70%, at 24,037. Nifty Midcap 100 ended the day 241 points or 0.44% higher, finishing at 55,487. Contrary to the general direction, Bank Nifty ended the day with a loss of 94 points or 0.18% at 52,776.50.

Top Gainers: Axis Bank (up 3.40%), ICICI Bank (up 2.48%), HDFC Bank (up 2.32%), Tech Mahindra (up 1.80%), and Larsen & Toubro (up 1.56%).
Top Losers: Power Grid Corporation Of India (down 1.64%), Tata Steel (down 1.24%), Asian Paints (down 1.16%), Nestle India (down 0.56%), and Maruti Suzuki India (down 0.52%).
Nifty:
Top Gainers: Shriram Finance (up 3.73%), Axis Bank (up 3.53%), ICICI Bank (up 2.38%), HDFC Bank (up 2.33%), and HDFC Life Insurance Company (up 1.98%).
Top Losers: Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.93%), Eicher Motors (down 1.97%), Power Grid Corporation Of India (down 1.67%), Asian Paints (down 1.30%), and Tata Steel (down 1.28%).
