Sensex and Nifty 50 as on 27th May

The Sensex dropped by 42.02 points or 0.06% to reach 75,368.37, while the Nifty decreased by 33.40 points or 0.15% to reach 22,923.70. 1579 shares went up, 1876 shares went down, and 127 shares stayed the same.

FMCG, metal, and oil & gas power sectors were experiencing losses, while the banking, IT, and real estate sectors were witnessing buying activity.

The BSE Midcap index increased by 0.7 percent, while the smallcap index remained unchanged in trading.

At the close , Sensex decreased by 19.89 points or 0.03% to 75,390.50, while Nifty dropped by 24.60 points or 0.11% to 22,932.50. 1559 shares rose, 1905 shares fell, and 119 shares remained unchanged. India's main stock indexes, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50, surrendered their gains after reaching new record highs on May 27th. The Nifty 50 reached a high of 23,110.8 during the day, while the Sensex climbed to 76,009.
